A Hingham native and storyteller at heart, Ava leads the work of welcoming new families into the SSRS community.

Ava LaVallee leads client acquisition and community growth at South Shore Retirement Services, shaping the marketing, messaging, and events that introduce new families to the firm. A Hingham native with a degree in English from the University of Vermont, she brings a storyteller's instinct to every campaign, fitting, since she's an avid creative writer with novel-publishing ambitions of her own. Her strengths run from strategy to live-event planning to client communication. Outside the office, Ava spends time with friends and family and writes on the beaches of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Her gift for connecting people and building community makes her a valued part of the team.

With over 2 decades of marketing experience in the financial industry, Kimberly turns complex retirement topics into clear, approachable messaging.

Kimberly grew up in Scituate and now lives in Norwell. She graduated from UMass Dartmouth with a degree in Graphic Design and has spent most of her career in financial services, earning recognition as an award-winning designer along the way. As Director of Communications, she helps to lead the firm's marketing, branding, and client communication, overseeing campaigns across digital, print, and events, and is passionate about translating complex topics into clear, approachable messaging that helps clients feel confident and informed. A proud mom of two and stepmom of four, Kimberly and her husband love exploring the South Shore waterfronts, eating local, and catching live music. In her free time, she enjoys audiobooks, lifting weights, and avoiding cardio whenever possible.
